Rotational shifts between 9am – 9pm

Job description

 

The Pharmacist is responsible for the accurate dispensing of veterinary medicines, effective inventory management, compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting the clinical team in ensuring smooth pharmacy operations at Crown Veterinary Services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Dispensing & Customer Support

Dispense veterinary medicines as per the veterinarian’s prescription with accuracy and care.

Explain dosage, usage instructions, and precautions to pet parents when required.

Maintain proper labelling, packaging, and documentation for all dispensed medications.

  1. Inventory & Stock Management

Maintain optimal stock levels of medicines, supplies, and consumables.

Conduct regular stock checks, monitor expiry dates, and handle removal of expired/near-expiry items.

Coordinate with the Purchase/Inventory team for timely ordering and replenishment.

Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines and vaccines.

  1. Compliance & Documentation

Adhere to all legal and regulatory standards for veterinary pharmacy operations.

Maintain accurate pharmacy records, including prescriptions, stock register, and controlled drugs.

Support audits, stock reconciliations, and monthly reporting.

  1. Operational Support

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the pharmacy area at all times.

Assist veterinarians and technicians by ensuring availability of required medicines and consumables.

Follow all Crown Vet protocols, SOPs, and safety guidelines.

Provide excellent service and communication to customers and internal teams.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institute (mandatory).
  • Valid Pharmacist License (as per state regulations).
  • Experience in medical or veterinary pharmacy preferred.
  • Good communication and customer-service skills.
  • Knowledge of veterinary medicines is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and basic computer applications.
