System Engineer / IT Support Engineer
Job Description:
Role Overview:
The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for managing the organization’s IT infrastructure, providing
technical support, and ensuring the smooth operation of systems, networks, and applications. The role
involves IT Helpdesk management, user account administration, troubleshooting, reporting, and ensuring
adherence to IT governance and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure that the IT Helpdesk tickets are monitored, resolved, and closed in line with the agreed
KPIs described within the IT SLA document.
• Ensure that the working processes are executed in line with the agreed standards and
workflows (such as user creation (starter & leaver process), adjustments required in relation
to end-users’ configurations, etc.).
• Maintaining computer networks and systems including servers, software, mainframes, and
other physical hardware.
• Installing and configuring infrastructure equipment to update or fix hardware or software
issues.
• Monitoring computer systems to improve overall system performance and reliability.
• Communicating networking or system issues to other employees and management.
• Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or through system
inspections.
• Contribute to ensuring effective corporate governance, risk management, and internal
controls.
• Identify opportunities for automation and assist with the development of automation systems
to address those opportunities.
• Manage users using Windows Enterprise Server operating systems, in combination with
Active Directory User Management.
• Administer and manage the Office 365 portal, including user setup, license management, and
email configuration.
• Perform basic Azure administration, including user creation, access management, and policy
control.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows (Dell) and Mac OS systems, printers, and
network devices.
• Configure and maintain Wi-Fi routers, switches, and ensure stable network connectivity.
• Set up and troubleshoot email clients (POP/IMAP) and manage mailbox configurations.
• Install and support specialized software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other
business applications.
• Maintain and manage IT inventory, including procurement, asset tracking, and license
management.
• Prepare and maintain IT reports, dashboards, and documentation using Microsoft Excel and
other reporting tools.
• Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders for IT equipment, services, and procurement
activities.
• Proven technical IT support experience that enables effective day-to-day operations.
• Ensuring effective corporate governance like Inventory, Vendor & Stakeholder management
for internal controls.
Who Qualifies?
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications (BCA), Computer Engineering, Information
Technology, or related field.
• Diploma holders in Computer Engineering may also apply.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IT support, infrastructure management, or
system administration.
• 2 years of experience in IT inventory and procurement management preferred.
Skills & Attributes
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (reports, pivot tables, and dashboards).
• Hands-on experience with Office 365 administration and basic Azure management.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac OS environments, printers, and network
configuration.
• Understanding of email protocols (POP/IMAP) and mail client setup.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, and documentation skills.
• Proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach with strong accountability.
• Experience with vendor management, inventory control, and process governance.
Work Timings:
• Monday to Friday: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• Saturday: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Half Day)
• The primary work location will be Kanjurmarg, with travel to the Head Office required twice
a week.
