Job Description:
Role: AGM (Accounts, Finance, Taxation, Treasury & Compliance)
Reporting To: GM Finance
Role Purpose: The individual will support the GM Finance in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, assisting in financial reporting, managing working capital processes, and supporting treasury and banking activities.
The role will focus on execution, coordination, and control of finance processes, while working closely with senior finance leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure financial discipline and operational efficiency.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Closing
• Maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with Indian GAAP and statutory requirements.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities within defined timelines.
• Ensure correct accounting of revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
• Monitor the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, bank accounts, vendor and customer ledgers.
• Support process improvements and automation initiatives in accounting operations.
2. Financial Reporting & MIS
• Prepare periodic MIS reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Assist in variance analysis and cost tracking.
• Provide financial data and reports to reporting manager and senior management as required.
• Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements for the company, ensuring accurate intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
• Ensure completeness of month-end and year-end closings with proper documentation for audit trails.
3. Working Capital & Credit Control
• Monitor receivables, payables, and inventory data.
• Monitor ageing reports to ensure closures are done as per the terms defined.
• Coordinate with sales, supply chain, and operations teams for working capital data
• Monitor utilisation of bank limits and support compliance documentation.
• Assist in initiatives to improve cash conversion cycle.
4. Treasury & Banking Operations
• Support day-to-day treasury operations including fund transfers and bank transactions.
• Monitor the documentation for CC/OD limits, LC, BG, and bank renewals.
• Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for routine queries and documentation.
• Maintain records of borrowing, interest calculations, and bank covenants.
6. Direct & Indirect Taxation
• Ensure timeliness in TDS compliance, challans, and return filings.
• Prepare tax computations and coordination with consultants during assessments and audits.
• Monitor and ensure GST compliances are completed as per the timelines for all entities.
• Handling of GST notices and audit documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams for GST compliance in invoicing and procurement.
7. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure the ROC filings, statutory registers, and Companies Act compliance documentation are done as per the timelines and coordinate with Company Secretary for any further requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors for statutory audit, tax audit, and internal audit documentation.
• Maintain compliance trackers and ensure timely filings.
8. Internal Controls, SOPs & Governance
• Follow and implement finance SOPs and internal control processes.
• Ensure strong maker-checker controls and documentation trails.
• Conduct periodic internal reviews to identify process gaps and improvements.
9. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
• Lead and mentor finance, accounting, treasury, and payroll teams.
• Work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, HR, and Operations teams on finance-related matters.
• Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and banks under guidance.
• Provide timely financial data and support to management.
Qualification & Experience
• CA / CMA / MBA Finance with relevant finance and accounting experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and treasury functions.
• Prior experience in manufacturing sector preferred.
