Job Description:
Role: Indirect Procurement Manager
The Indirect Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management of all non-medical and support-related goods and services for the veterinary clinic. This role ensures cost efficiency, service quality, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted clinic operations.
The position supports administrative, facility, IT, marketing, and operational procurement needs while working closely with clinic leadership and finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect categories.
- Manage sourcing of services such as facility maintenance, cleaning, security, IT support, waste disposal, marketing, and office supplies.
- Conduct RFQs/RFPs and negotiate contracts with vendors.
- Ensure competitive pricing and value for money.
- Vendor & Contract Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable service providers.
- Negotiate contracts, SLAs, pricing terms, and renewal agreements.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure service quality.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve escalations.
- Cost Control & Budget Oversight
- Manage indirect procurement budgets.
- Track spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze procurement data and provide monthly reporting to management.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and audit requirements.
- Regulatory & Compliance Support
- Ensure vendors comply with local regulations, especially for:
- Medical waste disposal
- Cleaning and sanitation services
- Facility safety standards
- Maintain proper documentation for inspections and audits.
- Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Clinic Director / Lead Veterinarian
- Operations Manager
- Finance & Accounts
- HR and Admin
- Understand departmental needs and ensure timely procurement support.

Qualifications
